THE BARBERSHOP - Short Film
Criteria:
Tells a story which holds the audience's attention: (15 points). The short film is definitely interesting. The twist the adds an unexpected layer to a simple haircut, making the story feel more intriguing. Still, the drama feels a bit excessive given the everyday setting.
Demonstrates camera work and editing which enhances the story: (5 points). The visuals are okay, clean but not creative. They don't really help tell the story in a stronger way
Contains dialogue, narration and/or background music which enhances the story: (10 points) There is background music during the fight scene, and it does a good job making the moment feel more intense. However, beyond that, the sound design doesn't add much to the overall story.
Has compelling and interesting actors: (5 points). The performances are believable but basic. The characters feel real, but they don't leave a lasting impression.
Comments: Overall, for such a short film, it's very interesting and creative. The twist adds a unique touch, but at the same time, it feels a bit too dramatic for the simple setup.
