Challenges In filming

Challenges in filming   Now that we’ve started filming, we’ve already ran into a few challenges that we’ve had to work around. One of the biggest problems has been finding a quiet place to shoot, since the school is almost always loud and crowded during the day. A lot of our scenes take place in hallways and bathrooms, so we kept getting interrupted by people walking through or talking in the background. To fix this, we decided to film after school or during study hall when things calm down, which has helped us get cleaner audio and fewer distractions.  Another challenge has been getting the angles we want, especially wide shots, because the bathroom is such a tight space. Our camera person has been taking behind‑the‑scenes pictures while we try different tripod spots and adjust our setup to make the space work. Scheduling has also been tough since everyone has clubs, sports, or other after‑school stuff, so finding time when we’re all free hasn’t been easy. We made a sha...

Preparing to film

Preparing to film  I believe that during the making of the film, we'll run into a mix of challenges and easier moments as we get ready to film. Actors : Tatianna, Azmina, Relysia, and Isabell already understand their characters well, which helps, but finding times when everyone is available might be difficult. Costumes : We're using simple, muted school outfits that match the emotional tone of the story, and while they're easy to put together, keeping them consistent across different filming days may take some time. Props : We only need a few items like backpacks, notebooks, and tissues, so gathering them is simple, but staying organized between scenes will help keep things running smoothly. Locations : The school bathroom and hallways fit the film perfectly, though getting those spaces quiet enough to use could be a challenge, especially during busy hours. Dates and Times : We haven't set ...

Mood Board for Movie Opener

Image
My mood board focuses on the emotional weight carried by two teens who experience bullying in different ways. The images I choose highlights isolation and vulnerability: one student sits alone in a dark, empty hallway, while another hides their face under a hoodie, showing how both characters withdraw from the world around them. A photo of a kid lying down in class represents exhaustion and defeat, while the gloomy hallway and the locker image reinforce the cold, unwelcoming school environment. The close-up shot of someone's hair and nose shows an intimate, human detail, reminding the audience that these struggles are deeply personal. Altogether, the images create a mood of loneliness, tension, and quiet resilience.

Final Idea for Movie Opener

For our movie opener, we decided to create a film centered around the theme of bullying. The opener follows two different victims, each with their own perspective and experiences. Throughout the exposition and rising action, the audience sees their stories separately as they each deal with bullying in their daily lives. As the opener reaches its climax, their actions and emotions begin to mirror one another, showing how similar their struggles really are. In the falling action and denouement, the two victims finally meet and share a moment of understanding, connection, and comfort, hinting at the beginning of a meaningful friendship. As for my concerns, I think the biggest challenge will be finding the right location to film. Other than that, I’m genuinely excited to bring our creative ideas to life through our camera work, composition, and mise-en-scène. I’m really looking forward to seeing how everything comes together.
